The Duncan Center is a history museum and art gallery located a block off of Main Street in my hometown of Greenville, Kentucky. It was built in 1912 by coal baron William Graham Duncan, donated to the City of Greenville in 1986 by his grandson, and officially opened as The Duncan Center in 1989. In 2006, the City began restoring portions of the house to its original condition. The Duncan Center not only hosts art and historical exhibits, but is a popular place for a variety of events - weddings, showers, teas, book signings, and visits with Santa. My own shower for my first baby was held at the Duncan Center (with 50 people in attendance...small towns know how to do it right!) and we had our Christmas photos done there a few days ago.
