Black Friday in KY

It's hard to believe that the time is here for Holiday Shopping!


My Mom and I used to make the 45 minute trek to Louisville every Black Friday.  We'd wake up at 5 am to get to the malls by 6 am.  

I can't say that I still get up that early on Black Friday, but I definitely still enjoy getting out and seeing everyone scramble around the malls looking for the best deal.

Leona Trunk Show

One of my favorite stores in Lexington, AJ's Casuals, is having a Leona trunk show this Thursday-Saturday.  


Leona is designed by a lovely little southern lady named Lauren Leonard from Nashville, TN.  She attended The University of Alabama and moved to NYC after graduation.  After living in New York she started Leona and started selling to boutiques all over the south.  She is now based out of Nashville, TN.

Kentucky Find: Maya Brenner Designs


Last year I started seeing these "state" necklaces everywhere.  I travel a lot in Mississippi and noticed some girls wearing Mississippi shaped necklaces and thought, "wow, what a cute idea".  I soon found out that these necklaces are by a designer by the name of Maya Brenner.  

You can choose any state, but the Kentucky shape is available in plain gold or silver, or you can choose to get a diamond anywhere along the border! 
How fun are these necklaces?  I think they'd make a perfect gift for the Kentucky lady in your life.  I know that this Kentucky necklace will definitely be on my next gift list!
